How to Join the Ozempic Lawsuit: GLP-1 Stomach, Bowel and Vision Claims
People who took Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound and other GLP-1 drugs are suing Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly, claiming the companies did not adequately warn about severe gastrointestinal injuries such as gastroparesis (stomach paralysis), bowel obstruction and cyclic vomiting, and, in a separate set of cases, a sudden vision-loss condition called NAION. The FDA has updated GLP-1 labeling on gastrointestinal risks. If you used one of these drugs and suffered a serious complication, Legal Lawsuit offers a free review and a private estimate tool to help you understand your options.
What Is Gastroparesis?
Gastroparesis is a condition in which the stomach empties far too slowly, causing intense nausea, vomiting, bloating, pain and sometimes malnutrition. GLP-1 drugs are designed to slow stomach emptying, but plaintiffs say that in some people the effect became severe and lasting, even after stopping the medication, and that the risk was not properly disclosed. In the federal litigation, the judge has ruled that gastroparesis claimants generally need a diagnosis supported by a properly performed gastric emptying study.
Who Can Join the Ozempic Lawsuit?
- You took Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Rybelsus, Victoza, Trulicity or another GLP-1 drug
- You were diagnosed with gastroparesis confirmed by a gastric emptying study, bowel obstruction, cyclic vomiting or another serious GI injury, or with NAION vision loss
- You needed hospitalization, surgery or significant medical treatment for the complication
Drugs Involved in the GLP-1 Litigation
Claims name Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus (semaglutide, Novo Nordisk), Mounjaro and Zepbound (tirzepatide, Eli Lilly), Victoza (liraglutide) and Trulicity (dulaglutide). Federal gastrointestinal cases are consolidated in MDL 3094 and vision-loss (NAION) cases in MDL 3163, both before Judge Karen Spencer Marston in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Ozempic Lawsuit Questions
How long will the Ozempic lawsuits take?
The litigation is still in pretrial stages, with thousands of cases pending and no settlement announced as of this update. Mass tort cases like these often take several years to resolve. Getting your records reviewed early helps protect your deadline.
Can I join if I used the drug off-label for weight loss?
Yes, potentially. People who used GLP-1 drugs for diabetes and those who used them for weight loss can both bring claims if they suffered a qualifying injury, because the duty to warn covers foreseeable uses of the medication.
